Women in Global Health (WGH) Canada brings people together across the country to move the needle on gender equality in health, and catalyze change.
As the official Canadian chapter of Women in Global Health, WGH Canada joins 23 chapters globally, bridging national priorities and messages with the global movement for gender transformative change in global health. These efforts are coordinated by the Canadian Society for International Health, which serves as the institutional home of WGH Canada.
WGH Canada welcomes Canadians of all genders, career stages, geographies and sectors. Any organization or individual sharing our vision can join our network!
About Women in Global Health (WGH)
Women in Global Health (WGH) was founded in 2015 to achieve gender equality in global health leadership. Today, WGH is an international movement with more than 25,000 supporters across more than 90 countries. Executive Director Dr. Roopa Dhatt and the global team work with WGH chapters to promote gender equity in health by mobilizing a diverse group of emerging women health leaders, by advocating to existing global health leaders to transform their own institutions, and by holding these leaders to account.
