Nasreen Jessani’s research, teaching, and implementation efforts focus on the nexus between health policy and systems research; innovations in evidence-informed policy and practice; and the power of relationships and networks in affecting public health. Nasreen currently supports over 15 country teams across Africa and Asia on strategic engagement related to data for decision making through her faculty positions at Johns Hopkins School of Public Health, USA and Stellenbosch University, South Africa. Her global reputation has permitted her to serve as Vice-Chair – Evidence to Action Thematic Working Group (Health Systems Global);  Senior Technical Advisor – Gates Institute; Task Force Member – WHO/FERG Knowledge Translation and Policy Group; and Advisory Board member – AcademyHealth. Nasreen’s numerous publications reflect her work across Kenya, UAE, Bangladesh, Thailand, Pakistan, Vietnam, Uganda, Canada, USA, and South Africa over the past 15 years while working for renowned agencies such as IDRC, BRAC, and WHO, among others.
