When will I know if my application has been accepted?
This date will vary according to the time of year. However, please allow approximately 2 weeks from the date the applications are reviewed (this date is posted on the web page with the available internships). An initial screening of applicants is done by CSIH, then applications are forwarded to the host organization for final selection. You will be contacted once we have received your application and we will keep you updated on the status of it.
Yes. However, your application will only be forwarded to one host organization at a time. Please make sure you list the internships in order of preference.
Sometimes the host organization is flexible with the dates. Please send us an email with the dates of your availability. However, please note that all internships must last for a total of 6 consecutive months.
As soon as an intern is identified, the listing for the internship is removed from the web page, so the available listings are always up-to-date.
If your previous internship was funded through the Youth Employment Strategy (YES), then you are ineligible to participate in another YES internship. All CSIH youth internships from June 1997 to present have been YES-funded.
Please use the language with which you feel most comfortable. Where needed, your statement can be translated by CSIH.
