Young Professionals Placement Program

Hosts

Host organizations include non-governmental organizations (NGOs), local community groups, the World Health Organization (WHO), the Pan American Health Organization (PAHO), hospitals, health ministries, UN Programs, public health associations and universities.

Organizations working in the international health field are invited by CSIH to submit proposals for placements. The selection process is as follows:

  • Organizations interested in hosting a Young Professional submit a proposal to CSIH based on specific guidelines and criteria.

  • The YPPP Advisory Committee makes a selection of the best placements presented by host organizations.

  • Selected placement opportunities are advertised on the CSIH web page and other CSIH networks so that young graduates can choose placements for which they wish to apply. Host organizations make the final selection of Young Professionals and assign a mentor to support and supervise each participant.

Organizations host Young Professionals for a minimum of six months and provide them with support for their job search activities on completion of their placements.

If your organization is interested in acting as host for a Young Professional through our program, please send an email to us with the name, title, and email address of the contact person, as well as the name of your organization and the country or region in which you could place a participant. You will receive updates and calls for proposals via email when CSIH is accepting applications for new host organizations.
