Project Summary:
To strengthen the capacity of AMREF Uganda to implement and evaluate projects in support of the national government’s Health Sector Strategic Plan (HSSP) calling for reduced morbidity and mortality from the major causes of ill health and premature death, and reduced disparities in health. AMREF Uganda is a pioneer in the implementation of personal hygiene and sanitation education (PHASE) within schools and is leading the movement to create equitable access to education for girls in northern Uganda, especially in the area of science education. AMREF Uganda is also implementing a child immunization program which aims to increase full immunization among infants. The interns will strengthen the capacity of AMREF Uganda in Information Communications Technology (ICT), research and analysis, monitoring and evaluation systems and reporting and research mechanisms.
