Project Summary:
To increase the capacity of AMREF Kenya to strengthen health systems through capacity building of health workers, health facilities, and Government of Kenya structures. There is close similarity between the government’s National Health Sector Strategic Plan (NHSSP) and AMREF’s strategy to strengthen health systems. AMREF envisages mixed public-private partnerships in national, district and community health systems that include multiple actors, including: government, civil society, traditional health providers and the business sector. The interns will help to achieve the shared objectives of AMREF Kenya and the national government by improving health systems management through the strengthening of ICT, monitoring and evaluation systems and reporting and research mechanisms to share information.
