Current Internships

Recruitment is now CLOSED for CIDA-sponsored 2010/2011 Internships.

CSIH is now recruiting for 20 global health internships 2010-2011 in support of Health Systems Strengthening (HSS) in East Africa and the Caribbean.  Internships will begin mid September, 2010 and must be completed by the end of March 2011.  Details on all available internships can be found below; application deadline is August 27th, 2010. Recruitment is now closed.

To be eligible an intern must be:

  • A Canadian citizen or permanent resident;
  • A post-secondary graduate - graduate of a degree or diploma program from a university, college, post-secondary school of technology, post-secondary institute or a CEGEP;
  • Not currently enrolled at school, college or university;
  • Between the ages of 19 and 30;
  • Unemployed or underemployed;
  • Not an employee on leave from government or non-governmental employment;
  • Legally entitled to work in Canada;
  • Willing and able to participate in pre-departure training mid September 2010 and to depart Canada by September 25th;
  •  Prepared to intern overseas full-time from September 25th 2010 to March 25th 2011 and engage in public engagement/awareness-raising activities on return to Canada.
