Internship Profile/Qualifications:

 

Project Summary:

To strengthen health systems in the Commonwealth of Dominica by: 1) improving the Health Information Systems (HIS) of the Ministry of Health (MoH) to enable better clinical and administrative decision-making; and 2) strengthening human resources and the organizational structure of the MoH. The interns will work working closely with the National Epidemiologist and other staff members of the Health Information Unit on:

 

Internship Activities:

  1. Assist with finalization and launch of National Strategic Plan for Health.
  2. Review administrative functions of MoH central office and Princess Margaret Hospital and make recommendations for improving efficiencies through integration of functions/services, use of technology etc.
  3. Review quality assurance programme at PMH and make recommendations for strengthening.
  4. Conduct QA assessment of at least 2 departments at PMH, develop and implement plan of action for QA strengthening.
