Internship Profile/Qualifications:
Master degree from a recognized university with academic or professional training in any health, social or earth sciences, or disciplines related to disaster;
Knowledge and/or experience in Disaster Management.
Project Summary:
To strengthen the knowledge base, resources and capacity development of the CIDA funded project, “Mainstreaming Disaster Risk Reduction in the Health Sector of CARICOM Member States”. PAHO coordinates the implementation of this project which represents a direct contribution to the CIDA Caribbean Disaster Risk Management Program (CDRMP) 2008-2012. The internships will contribute to the expected long-term result to empower the health sector in Caribbean countries to manage disaster risk reduction.
