The Canadian Conference on Global Health 2010 (formerly Canadian Conference on International Health) is being held from Sunday, October 31 to Wednesday, November 3, 2010 at the Crowne Plaza Ottawa Hotel, 101 Lyon St. N., Ottawa, ON, Canada.

 

Registration is now open. Early registration ends September 15th, 2010

 

The theme for this year's conference is: “Global Health: A Humanitarian Crisis?”

World Hepatitis Day

On May 19th, 2010 Canada joined with groups around the world to raise public awareness about hepatitis B and C, two forms of life-threatening liver disease. About 500 million people -- one in 12 worldwide -- are living with chronic viral hepatitis B or C. In Canada, it is estimated that 600,000 people are infected and many don’t know it.

International Internships

Global Hepatitis C Network in Canada

The Canadian Society for International Health (CSIH) is pleased to be implementing the Global Hepatitis C Network in Canada. CSIH is the Secretariat for this initiative which is being funded by the Public Health Agency of Canada.  Read more....

 


 

Ottawa, Training Ground for Global Health Diplomacy

While the Summit of the Americas was taking place in Trinidad and Tobago, the University of Ottawa, Centre for Global Health and Centre for Globalization and Health Equity in partnership with the Canadian Society for International Health were positioning Ottawa as a leading centre for the training of global health “diplomats”.
